I looked for the return addresses of several readers who sent me lovely notes and gifts when the Dozer crossed the rainbow bridge. If you send any of the cards or items pictured in this post, please contact me at seekingfor@recipetineats.com so I can thank you properly! 🥰
When the internet becomes good in the real world
It’s been 3 months and 9 days since I said goodbye to Dozer. Everyone knows I’m doomed. What no one expected, least of all me, was the incredible support that followed – emails, messages, cards, letters, flowers and gifts sent from readers all over the world.
Every email, message and comment I received meant something, and got me through some very sad days. The kindness so many of you have shown by taking the time to write and reach out makes this fast-paced virtual online world feel much more real and human than I ever imagined.
It is something I will never take for granted and will always be grateful for. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Looking for readers
When I attempted to send a thank you note, I realized that I had lost the return address for some of the lovely notes and gifts sent to me. Labels had been washed away by the rain, some items were separated from envelopes, and some had no return addresses that I could see.
So today, I’m doing something a little unusual – a post to try to find the kind people who took the time to email me, but whose return addresses I don’t have, so that I can thank them.
I know it may sound extreme to some people to dedicate an entire post to finding a handful of people – but this is me, this is how I do it, and I would do this post even if I was only looking for one reader.

Is this from you?
If you recognize the card or item listed as yours and are comfortable providing your postal address to me, please email your details to searching@recipetineats.com!
1. Flowers from karen in geelong
This was the first gift Dozer received while he was at the vet hospital, from Karen in Geelong. I store it in a basket attached to the beep machine connected to the Dozer. A nice decorative touch for the ICU, I thought! 🥰 He liked it so much, even in his unhealthy state, he had time to check whether it was edible. That’s my Dozer. 🥰

2. friendship bracelet
It actually arrived in December but between the Christmas holidays, annual leave, and Dozer being in hospital, I didn’t receive it until the day I said goodbye to him. I’ve worn it almost every day since then. Thank you Christine, Monique and Harriet. This is very special for me.

3. VERY AMAZING DONKEY
Robyn tells me to squeeze her when I’m feeling down, and she will comfort me. I have done as suggested! ❤️

4. t-shirts and toys
From Donna, fancy clothes and t-shirts that make me laugh!

5. charm from kate
Helium balloon card and gold necklace with charm from Kate. I have worn the necklace every day. ❤️

6. BEAUTIFUL MESSAGE from emily-rose
Thank you for taking the time to write and send this card to me, Emily-Rose. It’s so nice to receive mail in the mailbox without a bill! ❤️

7. MIND CARDS from bonnie
Thank you for your thoughtful message and card, Bonnie. Acts of kindness like this mean the world to me at this sad time. ❤️

8. FLOWERS SENT TO RTM
The beautiful original arrangement below was sent to RTM with a handwritten card but no name. The only clue I have is that the flowers were sent from Sydney Flowers in North Ryde. Is this from you?

9. COOKBOOKS FROM MARTIN
A beautiful and powerful (!) cookbook by the late Greg Malouf, gifted by Martin of Hornsby Heights. Martin, I grew up in Asquith, next door!

10. FLOWER LEFT OUTSIDE RTM FOR DOZER
To the beautiful and kind people who left flowers for Dozer outside RTM, I want to know who you are so I can give a proper thank you. (On a separate note, I’m sad to report that the flower thief is back to his naughty ways. 😢 I’m seriously considering putting a camera in front of RTM!)

Are you missing from the List?
If you send me a letter, flowers, or a gift and provide a return address, keep an eye on your mailbox in the coming week! If you send me something and your item is not listed above, and you do not receive a shipment from me within the next two weeks, please contact me at seekingfor@recipetineats.com with an explanation of what you sent so I can try to track it. ❤️
Special note to SASH and the team who were there with me at the end
I haven’t forgotten you. Not even a second. In fact, your note was the hardest note I had to write because what you did for Dozer, and to me, means so much that I really don’t know where to start. It feels too important to be reduced to words that feel inadequate. But I will. ❤️

Remembering Dozer
Two years ago today. This series of photos is exactly how I want to remember Dozer. ❤️
This is the time of year where we are well into winter, so you might think I might be missing out on regular visits to the beach, especially considering it was a worthy trip after I moved away from the North Shore.
But not. We donned puffy jackets, thermal leggings and rubber boots, and we headed out into the cold wind. The beach is his happiest place, and I couldn’t possibly forbid him from doing that. ❤️

These photos were taken by Rob Palmer for Tonight. We took TONS of photos that day! Dozer is really used to being in front of the lens. 🥰 That comes with the job!

PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
